Swing Coat

ABOUT THE PATTERN

The Starlight Swing Coat sewing pattern has a tailoring inspired design that can be made as a mid length coat or shorter cropped jacket. It has a relaxed but elegant fit, with voluminous sleeves that create a dramatic silhouette, while the swing body gives lots of movement and flexibility in size. A deep and elongated notched lapel gives a tailored feel alongside faux bound buttonholes, pockets and cuffs and a contrast cloth is recommended to really bring out these special details.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL

This pattern is suitable for intermediate sewers - I aim to make the process as clear as possible in the instructions & accompanying video but you may find it a challenge as an absolute beginner or as a first garment project.
